Au cours du mois de novembre 2018, j’ai travaillé comme volontaire à la ferme Bryn Mawr, au Pays de Galles, où vivent Alan et ses trois enfants. Leur mode de vie marginal et autosuffisant m’a profondément interrogé. La nécessité de développer un projet artistique les impliquant, tout en maintenant une certaine distance dans notre relation, s’est rapidement imposée. En tant qu’étranger partageant leur quotidien, j’ai dû m’immerger pleinement dans cet environnement et réfléchir à la manière de traduire, par mon travail artistique, mes relations avec ce lieu et ses habitants. Plus tard, je leur ai « retourné » Our Boys, The Blink of the Turkey, ainsi que d’autres documents liés à ma recherche, réunis dans une boîte rectangulaire en métal.

In November 2018, I worked as a volunteer at Bryn Mawr Farm in Wales, where Alan and his three children live. Their marginal, self-sufficient way of life deeply questioned me. The need to develop an artistic project involving them, while maintaining a certain distance within our relationship, quickly became clear. As a foreigner sharing their daily life, I had to immerse myself fully and reflect on how to translate my relationships with this environment and its inhabitants through my artistic work. Later, I “returned” Our Boys, The Blink of the Turkey, as well as other documents related to my research, gathered inside a rectangular metal box.
