En juillet 2021, des inondations en Belgique provoquent la destruction d’une partie de la commune de Pepinster et la mort de certains de ses habitant.e.s.
Au centre de Pepinster, se trouve un bar iconique dont le nom Amon nos autes signifie « Chez nous » en wallon.

À travers la projection de diapositives et de vidéos donnant la parole aux sinistré.e.s, ce recueil d’écrans et d’images habite le désastre, retisse le lieu et rebâtit le lien. Les images composites témoignent de la matérialité d’une catastrophe et évoquent la perte, le deuil et la reconstruction.

Comment le passé habité et le présent détruit cohabitent-ils ?
Que nous appartient-il quand plus rien ne reste ?
Qui sommes-nous quand plus rien ne nous ressemble ?

In July 2021, floods in Belgium caused the destruction of part of the municipality of Pepinster and the death of some of its inhabitants.
In the centre of Pepinster, there is an iconic bar whose name Amon nos autes means 'Home' in Walloon.
 
Through the projection of diapositives an videos giving voice to the victims, this collection of screens and images inhabits the disaster, reweaves the place and rebuilds the link. The composite images bear witness to the materiality of a disaster and evoke loss, mourning and rebuilding.
